There I was... Just about to head to bed at midnight last night when suddenly a new break. I was expecting something about swine flu. But no, instead it was that Michael Jackson had died, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Its the kind of news, that you can't quite believe. The kind that takes a while to sink in. I sat up watching the same news reports over and over again. Just because I simply couldn't believe it! And in some respects i'm still not even sure if i do really believe it? Many people had their opinions of Michael Jackson, some of which weren't necessarily good. However regardless of what people think... he was an icon, a legend, and he has inspired so much of the music that is in our charts today.

The news was announced in the UK at around Midnight (i think) I just find that it's rather strange that it gets announced so suddenly and also the first day of the Glastonbury festival (one of the largest, well known in the world). All these strange things make me think about whether all this is really true? As we all know, Michael Jackson is known for is quirky personality and his strange acts of behaviour. So who says that this can't be just an extreme measure of his odd sense of humour? Like i said previously, I'm still not convinced. His massive tour? Starting in the UK? People all said that it would really never happen, and I guess they were all right!

My thoughts are with his children, his family and friends and also his fans.. however my thoughts are with the idiots selling their tickets on ebay.

Its a really sad day. Rest in peace, Michael Jackson. A complete and utter legend. (If you really are, dead)
